School Board
The
school board meets monthly to provide leadership and oversight to
Nicaragua Christian Academy. It is composed of seven elected parents
and community members dedicated to Christian education. The board
seeks to uphold the purpose of the Academy, viewing education as
a holistic process of mental, physical, social and spiritual development.
It holds the conviction that formal education is a partnership between
the Academy, its students, and their parents. It desires that the
school be founded on God's truth revealed in the Bible and dedicated
to guiding students in academic excellence and Christian living
based on a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
Parent-Teacher Organization
The purpose of the PTO is to provide a forum for all who support
Christian education at Nicaragua Christian Academy. The organization
seeks to fortify the Christian faith of parents and teachers and
to offer assistance to the faculty, staff, and students. The PTO
consists of parents, teachers, a member of the administration, and
representatives from the school board.
Student Council
The
student body is represented by Student Council, a committee of 14
students from fourth through twelfth grades. The council serves
to promote enthusiasm, pride, and to unite students to work together
for the benefit of the Academy. Members are committed to creating
an environment of peace, harmony, and cooperation among students.
The council functions as a channel of communication between students,
faculty, and administration. Council members benefit by gaining
experience in government and leadership.
Community Service Club
Students have the opportunity to join the Community Service Club,
an organization devoted to serving the surrounding community. Activities
include visiting orphanages, where students share Bible stories
and lead the children in arts and crafts.

In addition to the club, many students and faculty members are
very actively serving others. Members of the NCA community assist
local churches with feeding programs and evangelism for the needy.
The school opens its doors weekly for community soccer games, sharing
with the participants our resources and demonstrating God's love
for them.
