What is Summer Camp?

PhotoEach summer, Nicaragua Christian Academy hosts a day camp for children ages 3 to 12. Through a host of activities and a dynamic staff of volunteer teachers, children learn about Jesus while improving their English skills.

The camp runs for six weeks from the end of June until the beginning of August. Camp days begin at 9:00 a.m. and last until 1:00 p.m. Campers take part in daily chapel, attend English as a Second Language (ESL) classes, and have the opportunity to do arts, crafts, games, and activities based around a weekly theme (e.g. jungle week). Participants also enjoy special events such as afternoons at the pool and field trips to various locations around Nicaragua.

Camp Dates (2008):
Teachers arrive one week early for orientation and pre-planning. Planning goes from June 11 to 13, and the summer camp runs from June 16 to July 25.
