Vocational Education
Class
During the first semester of this
year, a class that had not been taught for many years was
revived. Called Educación Práctica (Vocational
Education), the class was taught by our own maintenance staff
and directed by Mr. Edgard Fajardo. It provided the
opportunity for each of our workers to share their talents and
abilities with our students.
The seven students in this class
learned skills in the areas of electrical installation,
gardening and woodworking. As part of their learning,
José Angel Luna taught the students how to make wooden chairs
and their projects are now being used in the preschool
wing. And as part of the gardening unit, José Medina
taught the students how to grow plants from
seedlings.
 This class exemplifies a unique
quality of our school. We are committed to hiring
qualified Christian men and women as teachers for our
students. However, this practice extends beyond our
faculty body to all 104 staff members in the school.
Each security guard, maintenance worker and member of our
office staff is committed to serving Jesus Christ by word and
example, and they all have a desire to help our students grow
closer to the Lord each day.
"How good and pleasant it is
when brothers live together in unity." -- Psalm
133:1
Poetry Night
The first phase of the Fine Arts
Center was completed in October 2008, and we anticipate
beginning the second phase as soon as we have the needed
funds. The second phase will cost approximately $180,000
and will include vocal and instrumental music rooms, the main
auditorium entrance, restrooms, the second story balcony,
control booth, recording studio and additional
offices. Our parents and teachers continue to
come up with creative ways to raise funding for this
project.
On March 6, our school held a
Poetry Night for our parents as a fundraiser for the continued
construction of the NCA Fine Arts Center. It was a
wonderful evening of music and literary performances.
Many of our school parents performed works of poetry and
music, displaying amazing talent and captivating the audience
with their pieces.
Our students volunteered as servers
for the tables where their parents and teachers enjoyed the
evening, serving Salvadoreñan pupusas and donated
desserts. It was a privilege to see our students in the
role of waiting on the tables, a rare opportunity for them to
experience a more professional work experience.
 We have already collected
approximately $40,000 toward this second phase goal. If
you would be able to support the construction of the Fine Arts
Center with a gift of $50 or more, please visit our website at

Pastors Conference
By Troy and Ginnette
Doudy Missionary family at Nicaragua Christian
Academy Serving with Assemblies of God World
Missions
Every year the national Nicaragua
Assemblies of God has a Pastors conference with up to 5000
people in attendance. For the past seven years we have opened
our home to the pastors of the Southern Caribbean Coast. Every
year it has been an incredible blessing to have the
opportunity to spend time with these friends of ours. We
attend the conference together, eat together, spend time
getting to know each other better and pray together. Without
the opportunity to stay in our home many of these pastors and
families would not be able to attend this conference. Every
night seeing these pastors up front at the altar seeking God
for fresh anointing and God's direction is more then worth any
extra work involved in hosting them. It was hard dropping many
of them off at the bus station knowing that they had a two day
or three day journey home traveling by bus, panga, and boat.
The last night of the Conference several of the Bluefields
Bible School students and former students came forward to
recieve their ministerial credentials.
Most of our ministry is focused
on the southern Caribbean Coast of Nicaragua. We are
establishing churches, training leaders, and touching
compassionately by any available means. There are three key
ministries that we are involved with: the Bluefields Bible
School to train leaders, the New Jerusalem Evangelical Center
to send out new pastors, and the New Jerusalem Radio station
to proclaim the Gospel to the entire Southern Caribbean
Coast.
When we first arrived in Nicaragua
as missionaries we decided that we would live in Managua and
would travel to do ministry. The reason we made this decision
was because of NCA.s quality of education and strong Christian
values that are taught and lived out by the staff. Now ten
years later our two oldest daughters have graduated from NCA
and our son is in his junior year. We can say that this was
the best decision we could have made for our family. NCA
has helped us educate and train our children in the Christian
walk, as we have established churches, trained leaders, and
reached out through compassion ministries (www.doudynicaragua.org).
